Our Story
We’re Pehr and Annika, a Swedish couple with a lifelong love of France, history, interior design, and old buildings. Three years ago, our dream found a home in Château de Livry – an 18th-century castle in Livry, Normandy, that instantly captured our hearts.
From the start, we felt its calm and authentic spirit and began to gently restore it, keeping its soul intact while adding the warmth and comfort that make it a true home.
Much of the château’s charm remains as it was. We refreshed the interiors, painted the shutters, and invited an artist friend to add beautiful wall murals. Inside, antiques, brocante finds, and Scandinavian simplicity come together with soft Himla linens, handmade ceramics, and comfortable hotel beds – all chosen to create a sense of harmony and ease.
We’ve also made some changes to the garden and it’s one of our favourite spots for a peaceful morning coffee, a summer dinner, or enjoying the sounds of the countryside.
What we love most is seeing friends and guests experience the château as we do – cooking together, laughing, sharing meals, and enjoying slow, genuine moments. We hope Château de Livry brings you the same feeling of wonder and joy that it gives us every day.
